Making her first visit to the constituency after filing her nominations, Sonia is expected to give the much-needed boost to her party's campaign in the region.

The Congress president will address four public meetings at Siruguppa, Sandur, Hadagali and Kottur, the assembly segments in the Bellary Lok Sabha constituency, where she faces a stiff contest from senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj.

Sonia is likely to be accompanied by Priyanka and after touring the constituency, move to Chitradurga and Davangere for campaigning, party sources said With hardly ten days to go for the polls, the campaigning is yet to pick up in this constituency.
