Gaurav stumbles

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICEMUMBAI, AUG 26: Gaurav Gadodia of Mumbai, the sole Indian representative at the World Junior Chess Championships (under-21) for the Blind and Visually Impaired organised by the Belgian Chess Federation, lost to top seed Hervaes Adrien of France.

Joining Adrien at the top is second seed Belgium's Devos Piet, who accounted for Subertova Veronika of the Czech Republic. Both Adrien and Devos have a clean slate with four points from four rounds. Following them in joint second position with 3.5 points each are third seed Vlach Karel of the Czech Republic, who accounted for Bernik Miroslav of Slovakia and Pavlenko A of Ukraine who defeated Polnar Jesef of the Czech Republic.

As of now, Gaurav is in joint third position with six others, all of whom have three points. Back home in India before his fourth round game, Gaurav's parents had just received the news that NM Commerce student had topped the 12th standard board exams for Commerce among the handicapped.
