According to a complaint lodged at the Talegaon Dabhade police station, Dabhade's bungalow and car were damaged in the incident. The miscreants' identities could not be ascertained.

In a separate incident, a police complaint was filed against the Congress candidate from Bopodi Assembly constituency, Chandrakant Chhajed, after he organised a public meeting at Khadki without the requisite permission on Wednesday. Chhajed has been charged under the relevant sections of the Bombay Police Act, according to a report forwarded by the district collectorate to the Election Commission (EC).
