Last date of admission extended
Patiala: Punjabi University has extended the date of admission from August 23 to August 30 with a late fee of Rs 1,500 in its affiliated colleges. The colleges have been instructed to submit the cases of late admission with late fee to the university for approval. The extension of the date of admission will be applicable to all arts, science and commerce colleges, according to a university press release.Free medical camp tomorrow

Patiala: The Punjab State Karamchari Dal has appealed to the government to accept their long-pending demands in order to remove their resentment. In a statement issued here yesterday, Hari Singh Tohra and Kulbir Singh Kheri, president and general secretary of the Dal, said resentment was prevailing among the employees because of the government's failures to solve their problems.
