NEW DELHI, Aug 27: Salwan Public School will set up title clash with Apex Public School in the second Mikash Salwan Volleyball Tournament.In the semi-final against Kendriya Vidyalaya (RK Puram), Salwan boys won 25-16, 25-8, 25-17, thanks to some valiant efforts by Ravi and Sachin. In the other match, Apex beat Sarvodaya Vidayalaya (Dhaka) 25-15, 25-21, 25-12.
Earlier, in the quarter-finals, Salwan had beaten Bal Bharti School while Kendriya Vidyalaya overcame Don Bosco to make it to the last four grade. SV (Dhaka) moved to semis beating Govt Boys School (Nazafgarh) and Apex humbled Raj Rifles.
Asia Cricket Club win
Asia Cricket Club prevailed over Sharma Cricket Club by 38 runs in a Group A match of the Guru Shyam Dass Cricket tournament.
Brief scores: Asia Cricket Club : 198 for 7 in 30 overs (Jitender 51, Ajay 24, Sunny 20/1, Rampi 33/2) beat Sharma Cricket Club: 160 (Sunny 40, Sanjay 29, Naveen 41/3, Parveen 21/2).
