Sonawane bags singles title

PUNE, Aug 27: Manoj Sonawane of Bank of Baroda lifted the men's singles title in the Reserve Bank of India organised Inter-Bank Carrom championship, defeating State Bank of India's Iqbal Shaikh 25-19, 25-24 in the final held at the RBI's Club, today.Meanwhile, State Bank of India and Bank of Maharashtra entered in the semi-final round of the team championship from the Group `A' gaining 17 and 14 points respectively. While from the Group `B', Bank of Baroda and NABARD, earning 14 points each made their way into the last four. Team championship semi-final line-up: SBI Vs NABARD. BoB Vs BoM.
