Liquor seized

In separate cases, police have arrested four persons for allegedly carrying liquor. Jagdev Singh was held with 12 bottles, Devi Dyal was carrying 49 pouches, Bansi Lal had 50 pouches and Pal Singh had 12 bottles with him. Separate cases under the Excise Act have been registered.

One held
Police have arrested Didar Singh alias Dara, a jhuggi resident in Maloya, in an alleged case of trespass and molestation registered against him in Sector 39 police station.

Forgery alleged
Sector 40 resident Puspa reported to the police that she has been cheated to the tune of Rs 20,000 by a man and a woman who promised to double her money and ornaments. Police have registered a case of cheating.

One assaulted
Parmod, Rohini, Bunty and an unidentified boy, all residents of Sector 30, allegedly assaulted Vikas of Sector 20 and fled. incident occurred in Sector 20. The police have registered a case.

Three persons have been arresetd while they were allegedly roaming under suspicious circumstances and another two persons were arrested for creating nuisance under the influence of liquor. Separate cases have been registered.
