CHANDIGARH, Sept 2: Youngsters Club beat City Football Club by four goals to nil and Audit Haryana Football Club defeated City Cops Football Club, 3-1, in the super league match of the Chandigarh State Senior football league at the Sector 17 Football Stadium here today. After today's win both Youngsters XI and Audit Haryana have four points each in their kitty.City Cops have lost both their super league encounters and are at the bottom of the table while Chandigarh Football Club have one point from as many matches played so far in the meet.
In the match between Youngsters XI and City Football Club, the former dominated the contest but scored their first goal in the later part of the first session through Vishal whose powerful shot caught the rival keeper Jasmeet Singh napping. Just before the lemon break Gurminder Singh made it 2-0.
After the break, Youngsters XI added two goals more to their tally. Sachin scored the team's third goal while Vinod Kanwar shot the fourth goal.
In the City Cops-Audit Haryana tie, though the latter dominated the contest and missed a few scoring chances but it was the former who gained the upper hand when Munish's shot after deflecting from Haryana's defender Amrit went into the net (1-0).
But on the counter-attack, Rakesh of Audit made it 1-1 all. And before the break Sanjeev of Audit scored the team's second goal (2-1).
After the change of ends, attacks and counter-attacks did not move the score board. However, in the dying moments of the game Sajeev edged past defender Bahadur Singh and beat rival goalie Mukesh to make it (3-1).
