As many as 29 teams from all over the country participated in the competition, which was held at Bangalore, but St Stephens' team emerged the winner. The team was later asked to give a performance at the prize distribution ceremony, which was hosted by noted singer Usha Uthup.

The bhangra team comprised of Mohit Jain, Preeti Grover, Nipun Abrol, Harneet Chahal, Damanjeet Kaur, Japuneet Kaur, Harsukhman Singh, Bir Kanwar, Raj Kanwar, Archana Sharma, Ravi Inder and Rachit Bansal and was directed by P.S. Sodhi, with Sohan playing the dhol for the team.

The students of the school participated in other events also and in Computer Quiz, the team comprising of Rishi, Amit and Varun Joshi bagged the third position.
