CHANDIGARH, Sept 3: The Chandigarh State badminton ranking-cum-selection trials will be organised from September 16 to 19 at Sector 42 Badminton Hall here. The Chandigarh team for the North Zone Inter-State Badminton Championship to be held at Jammu in the last week of September will be selected during the trials, according to Chandigarh Badminton Association president MC Sethi.The state team for the Mini and Sub-Junior Nationals will also be selected during the trials. CBA secretary TPS Puri said today that the selected players would undergo a three-week camp at Punjab University Indoor Hall under the supervision of Surinder Mahajan.
Entries close with Surinder Mahajan at PU Indoor Stadium or R Tuli and at Sector 42 Badminton Hall or Promila at Home Science College Centre before September 14 between 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.
Cricket trials
Trials to select the Mohali District cricket team for participation in the Punjab Inter-District (Under 19) cricket tournament will be held on September 5 at 9 a.m. at the PCA Stadium, S.A.S. Nagar near here.
The Inter-District tournament will start in the last week of September.
