Soldiers released

ISLAMABAD: The two Indian soldiers who were captured by Pakistan after their patrol strayed across the LoC in Syhok-Batalik sector in Jammu and Kashmir, were released on Thursday. Lance Naik Ram Singh and Sepoy Brajedra Kumar, were handed over by Pakistani authorities to Red Cross, who brought them to the Indian embassy here Thursday evening.

Shoot-at-sight

PATNA: Shoot-at-sight orders were issued on Thursday against anyone attempting to capture booths in South and Central Bihar where elections would be held on September 18.

Surat firing

SURAT: Surat once again fell under tension on Thursday when residents of the Bhagatalav area protested against the Wednesday night encounter in which Chhota Rajan aides were shot dead.
