S K Singh, head of the department of Business Economics, has been appointed as the incharge dean. Speaking to Express Newsline, Syan said, ``I have put in my papers on personal grounds, and the university authorities have gladly accepted my resignation.''

Syan added that he had been contemplating putting in his papers for long time, but he thought that Thursday was the right day to do so.
