Cyclist hurt in mishap

PANCHKULA, Sept 24: A cyclist was injured when he was knocked down by a Maruti car near Tabar village yesterday. The car driver fled away from the scene, while the Raipur Rani police have registered a case under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC.The police have also booked a truck driver for rash and negligent driving after he hit a police barricade yesterday at Zirakpur. A case has been registered under Sections 279 and 336 of the IPC. A local resident Gurdas Singh was arrested by the police for consuming liquor at a public place.
