PACHKULA, Oct 3: Rajiv Bhasin, a resident of Chandigarh, has submitted a complaint with the Pinjore Police stating that his jewellery shop, "Candy Jewellers," was looted after he was assaulted by two unidentified persons at the shop on the night of September 27.Bhasin claims that cash and jewellery worth Rs 2.7 lakh was looted from his shop. Narrating the incident to Newsline, Bhasin said two persons came to his shop on September 27 and placed an order for four rings for which they even paid an advance of Rs 5,000 and demanded the delivery of the said rings on September 29.
On September 29, one of the men came in the morning and said he, along with his brother, would be coming to pick up the rings at around 9 p.m.
The two came at 9.15 p.m. and as soon as Bhasin opened the locker, assaulted him, switched off the lights and looted his shop. Bhasin lost consciousness and was brought to the PGI, Chandigarh.
