CHANDIGARH, Oct 12: Child Relief and You, CRY for us, is all set to put up their shop here. And as a beginning to create awareness about its projects and programmes, this nodal organisation for children, has brought a child art show to Chandigarh, which opens at the Indus Ind Art gallery tomorrow.

Speaking to Newsline, Anup Tiwari, Coordinator in CRY resource generation, said, "CRY has always been a platform for children, mainly the underprivileged. It is all about giving a chance to them, who also have dreams and desires. We help in fulfilling them.'' It is no wonder then, that some of the paintings by the children in the show, are titled `My Dream'. CRY set up by the late Rippan Kapur in 1979, operates from five metros now and has about 320 projects.

And by buying them, one can contribute to the education of the poor children. ``The small paintings are priced at Rs 600 and the big ones at Rs 1,200. Since funds are not coming as fast as earlier, CRY has come out with innovative steps like shows and concerts. Patron Jagjit Singh, the ghazal king, has already committed to five concerts a year.
