The day-long programme will begin at 7 am with the `Prabhat Pheri'. In the hour-long programme, groups from different colleges, P G departments, schools and NGOs will start the Prabhat Pheri march from different places covering every corner of Vallabh Vidyanagar, and assemble at the Humanities Building. The programme will include a vehicle rally which will start from Sardar Patel's house at Karamsad and pass through Vallabh Vidyanagar and Anand before terminating at Shastri Maidan. The rally will consist of students, teachers, citizens, and tabelaux on trucks and tractors depicting Patel's work.

During the inauguration, the Gujarat governor would also remain present and launch the year-long celebrations at the Humanities ground. The days programme would conclude with cultural programmes.
