Four workers electrocuted Three manual labourers at a factory in Pandesara received serious electric shocks on Wednesday morning. One of them died a few hours later, a case registered in the Pandesara police station today afternoon said. Algu alias Ramdulari Anuradha (28), Viral Kanta Prasad (25) and Pramod Brahmacharya (27) were reportedly pushing a metallic hand cart, and hit an insulated welding cable midway. The cable broke apart, and all three received serious electric shocks. Anuradha died in hospital. The Pandesara police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC. In another case registered in the Limbayat police station today morning, Sukhdev Gujjar (18), a resident of Bhaktinagar, Godadara village, died after receiving an electric shock. The case register said he came in contact with a live electric cable near a canal off Godadara village.Body recovered The dead body of Pradhan Gatloo Marathe (45), a worker of Agro Steel company located at Pandesara GIDC, was found dead by his colleagues today afternoon. A case registered in the Pandesara police station said that Marathe went into the plant to check whether it was working or not. However, he did not return. Others, who went to search him, found him slumped on the floor in an unconscious state. He was rushed to the Mahavir hospital, where doctors declared him dead on admission. Post mortem reports are still awaited. A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered. Suicide Arjan Bhikha Gohil (35), a resident of room no 136, Dhartinagar Society, Varachha, committed suicide by consuming an insecticide, the Varachha police stated. Neighbours found Gohil in an unconscious state around 9 am today and rushed him to the Maskati hospital, where he was declared dead on admission.
