CHANDIGARH, Oct 13: On the occasion of the World Standards Day regional office of Bureau of Indian Standards is organising a half-day seminar on `Building on Standards', the theme for this year's World Standards Day.The theme has been chosen jointly by the International Organisation for Standards (ISO), International Electro-techincal Commission (IEC) and Inter Telecommunication Union (ITU), the three apex organisations in international standardisation.
The seminar will be inaugurated by Balbir Singh, chairman, Chandigarh Housing Board and will be attended by four expert speakers including I.C. Sayal, R.D. Angara, Puranjit Singh and Jaidev Singh.
