Lyngdoh sacks 14 Cong ministers

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
SHILLONG, OCT 13: Meghalaya Chief Minister B B Lyngdoh, belonging to the United Democratic Party, tonight sacked all his 14 Congress ministers, paving the way for reshuffling of his Ministry and chose to pick up his new Ministerial colleagues from the Nationalist Congress Legislature Party (NCLP), BJP and People's Democratic Movement.

Lyngdoh would approach Governor M M Jacob tomorrow and apprise him of his decision to reshuffle his council of ministers, UDP sources said, adding that the latter had already been informed of the sacking of Congress ministers and subsequent taking support of three other parties for forming the new government.

However, the schedule of oath-taking ceremony for the proposed four-party alliance government in Meghalaya, led by Lyngdoh, was yet to be fixed, as Raj Bhavan sources denied having received any formal proposal from the Chief Minister so far, regarding the formation a new Government in the State.
