Pvt bus strike

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, Oct 17: The Pune Bus Owners, Agents and Operators Association will participate in the nationwide strike which will begin from midnight of October 20 in protests against the 35 per cent increase in the diesel price.

Association president Baba Shinde has said in a press statement that private bus operators would join the indefinite strike following an appeal by the All India Motor Congress. He said the private bus operators all over Maharashtra would also participate in the strike.

According to Shinde, 35 per cent hike in the diesel price would jack up the prices of all the essential commodities. Shinde pointed out that the price of diesel had increased by Rs 6.75 in the past one year.
