US softens stand on Musharraf
Except for expressing disappointment that Pakistani military leader Gen Pervez Musharraf had not outlined a timetable for return to civilian rule, the Clinton administration has responded positively to a raft of proposals he has made in a speech on Sunday and virtually legitimised his rule for the time being.

Commonwealth to suspend Pak
The Commonwealth on Monday recommended the suspension of Pakistan from the organisation following last week's military coup by General Pervez Musharraf.

Charges framed against Sharif
Pakistan's federal investigating agency has submitted a 200-page report to GHQ on the misdeeds of deposed Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif and his business associates.
