PUNE, Oct 25: Kinetic Engineering Ltd (KEL) registered a fall in net sales and profit during the quarter ended September 30, 1999. Net sales and income from operation have come down to Rs 77.04 crore from the previous year figure of Rs 86.32 crore for the same period.Total income has been boosted by other income jumping by 100 per cent from Rs 80 lakh to Rs 165 lakhs. Gross profit is down from Rs 8.47 crore to Rs 6.52 crore due to a increase in interest payments from Rs 1.70 crore to Rs 2.81 crore. Net profit is down from Rs 4.05 crore to Rs 3.01 crore during the quarter ended 30 September 1999.
The half yearly performance is witnessing a marginal fall. Net sales are down to Rs 123.81 cror. Net profit is down from Rs 5.67 crore to Rs 4.11 crore for the first quarter.
