Oasis organises protest dharna

VADODARA, OCT 25: Youth organisation Oasis on Sunday organised a ``constructive dharna'' outside Gandhi Nagargruh as its answer to what it calls the `smear campaign' launched by some persons against it. Managing trustee Sheeba Nair said a blood donation camp was organised at the venue as Oasis wanted to keep away from rallies, slogan shouting and bandhs, the usual modes of protest. She said the gesture found enthusiastic response from public. Over 50 people, including representatives of voluntary organisations, prominent citizens, and industrialists donated blood on the occasion.
