Parveen clinches best athlete's title

CHANDIGARH, Oct 31: Praveen Kumar of Shimla was declared best athlete in the 18th Punjab National Bank Inter-Region sports meet, which concluded here today at the DAV College in Sector 10. Parveen also emerged the fastest runner of the meet by winning gold in 100-metre race.

The overall trophy went to Rohtak while Chandigarh bagged the best performance award.

Unbeaten knock of 43 runs by Karan Dhanoa enabled Maher House beat Morrissey House by 7 wickets in under-10 group in the St John's High School-26 Inter-House cricket tournament, today.
