Sensex plummets another 173 pts as panic continues

Exports rise 7.39 pc in first half
Aided by an impressive double digit growth for the second consecutive month in September, India's exports recorded a 7.39% growth in the first half of 1999-2000 and trade deficit narrowed marginally to $ 5.01 billion against $ 5.02 billion despite a surge in oil imports.
