FIPB clears Toyota, Skoda car ventures
The government has cleared 58 foreign investment proposals worth Rs 1,541 crore, including those of Japanese auto major, Toyota Motor Corporation and Volkswagen subsidiary Skoda Auto.

MoF convenes CMs' meet on reforms
In what can be seen as an attempt to deepen reforms at the state-level, the Finance Ministry has convened a meeting of all state Chief Ministers' on November 16. Among other things, the conference will try to evolve a joint strategy on tax reforms where states have to be involved.

With the Parliament in the final stage of allowing foreign insurance companies in India, Delhi-based Max India and $ 20-billion global giant New York Life International have joined hands to launch life insurance business in the country.
