GPCC raps govt decision to withdraw subsidy on sugar
GPCC secretary Rizwan Usmani and chairman of GPCC Economic Cell Rupin Patchigar have criticised the union government decision to withdraw subsidy on sugar, stating that crores of poor will be badly hit by the decision. They have warned that the effects of the decision will be visible in a number of sectors and only mill owners will be benefited.

Zila Gram Vikas Agency meet today
Zila Gram Vikas Agency will hold a day-long seminar on `Gokulgram Vikas Yojna' on November 4 at Sardar Market Stadium. A strategy will be chalked out to eradicate poverty at the seminar. The Gokulgram Vikas Yojyna, a brain child of chief minister Keshubhai Patel, aims at achieving all-round development in rural areas. Certain villages are identified for implementation of the scheme.

Management institute opens tomorrow
Union textile minister Kashiram Rana will be chief guest for the opening ceremony of the Sarvajanik Education society (SES)-run Luthara Institute of Management. The institute, to be opened on Friday morning, will be housed at MTB college compound, Athwalines. Ramesh Chandra Luthara, the donor, will be felicitated on the occasion, said Ramesh Ojha, SES secretary.
