PUNE, Nov 3: Ashok Katkar, a 37-year-old resident of Yerawada, was killed on the spot when he came under the wheels of a tractor on a road near the parking place of the Central Armoured Fleet Vehicle Depot (CAFVD) at Khadki on Monday morning.Police said Katkar was travelling in the tractor when the mishap took place. Katkar lost his balance and fell down while the tractor was taking a sharp turn. He came under under the tractor's wheels even before he could get a chance to move away to safety, they added.
The Khadki police have arrested the tractor driver Sagar Laxman Kamble (42) of Yerawada after filing a case against him. He has been charged with driving negligently and causing Katkar's death.
