CHANDIGARH, Nov 3: DAV Senior Secondary School-8 lifted third Rao Jai Singh Memorial basketball tournament which concluded here at the New Public School premises in Sector 18. DAV-8 scored a 71-40 win over Government Model School-33. Third place went to NPS-18 cagers who got a walkover from SD Public School-32.
GMS-33 cagers gave tough fight in the first session of the contest but were unable to keep up the tempo in the second half which put paid to their aspirations. Harjot with 27 points top scored for DAV-8. Sangram and Sukhjeet netted 14 and 11 points for the losers.
