Leprosy patients meet with citizens
  • The Indian Leprosy Foundation has organised a meet on Friday at Vimla Dermatological Centre, Versova where leprosy patients will meet citizens at 4 pm. Sweets and gifts will be distributed to patients. Nair Samskarika Samiti and Indian Overseas Bank are co-sponsors of the programme.

    Advertising competition

  • The Right Brain Challenge Contest, an inter-agency advertising competition, has been organised by The Brief and Sony Entertainment Television. Ad agencies have to present a complete communication campaign within 24 hours. This year they have to create a single press ad promoting Mumbai's first gay bar.

    Computers and Diwali safety

  • Zee Interactive Learning Systems Ltd with the support of Loss & Accident Prevention Association of India has come up with `Comporackers' - a course to teach kids safety precautions for Diwali.
    Priced at Rs 900, it will also brief kids aged between 4-14 yrs the basics of computers and MS officewith an emphasis on word and paintbrush.

    New computer centre at Thane

  • Boston's Cyberkids, the children's education division of Boston Education and Software Technologies Pvt Ltd (BEST) announced the launch of its eleventh centre in Thane district. It will provide a wide range of specialised courses for children.

    Hinduja Hospital

  • The staff of Hinduja hospital today pledged to devote its medical, human and material resources in service of the armed forced whenever it is required.
    Chief Executive of Hinduja Hospital presented a cheque to Indira Kumar towards the Army Wives Welfare Association.
