Body found in Sector 17
The body of a man, in his late 40s, was found here this morning near the gate of police station Central. The man is yet to be identified but the shirt worn by him had a label of a Yamunanagar tailor. No injury mark was visible on the body, added police sources.

150 kg of crackers seized from Attawa
City police arrested Ashok Kumar of Sector 38 and recovered 150 kilograms of fireworks from his shop in Attawa village. A case under Explosives Act has been registered against him. Further investigations are on, said the police, adding that this was the third major seizure of crackers over the past few days.

2 held with liquor
Police have arrested Ferozepur district resident Jasbir Singh and recovered 24 bottles of whisky from his possession from near a petrol pump in Sector 22. In a separate case, Sector 25 resident Ramesh Kumar was held with 100 pouches in the same sector.
