Dacoits raid hamlet, 11 hurt

PUNE, NOV 10: Altogether 11 persons, including two women, were seriously injured when a gang of stick-wielding dacoits attacked them at Wadgaon Shinde village off the Pune-Solapur highway late Tuesday night.The victims are undergoing treatment at the Sassoon Hospital, according to the Loni Kalbhor police. Their condition was stated to be out of danger. Police said the two families were making preparations for Diwali at Kondiba Shinde's house at Shinde Vasti hamlet, about half-a-km from Wadgaon Shinde village, when the dacoits struck.
