VADODARA, Nov 15: Three members of a family were killed and five others injured seriously in a road mishap near Adas village in Anand district last night.According to the police, the victims were Ankleshwar residents and were coming from Ahmedabad after enjoying their holidays. The incident occurred when the Maruti car (GJ-16-C-7338) in which they were travelling hit a truck (GJ-7-VV-1339) coming from the opposite direction.
The police said the car tried to overtake a Maruti Zen in front of it and rammed into the truck. The dead have been identified as Mukesh Ishwar Tailor (38), Madhuben Ishwar Tailor (60) and Neetaben Mukesh Tailor (32). Their post-mortem examination was performed at the Vasad Civil Hospital.
The injured persons are Chetan Jaswant Tailor (16), Bhavika Jaswant Tailor (14), Ankita Jaswant Tailor (12), Kruti Mukesh Tailor (11) and Nidhi Mukesh Tailor (9). All the injured have been admitted in the Bhailal Amin Hospital here. Doctors attending to them said their condition is very serious.
