HUDA technocrats demand repatriation of PWD engineers

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PANCHKULA, NOV 15: An emergency meeting of HUDA Technocrats Association was held at the Sector 7 community centre here today, to discuss the issue of taking PWD (B&R) and PWD (Public Health) Department engineers on deputation in HUDA.

Giving the information, Association Joint Secretary Vinod Kumar Sharma said there was strong resentment among its members regarding taking engineers on deputation in violation of all the established HUDA service rules and procedures. He alleged that the engineers were being taken on deputation mid-session, purely on the basis of a pick and choose policy, and against the court orders in its judgment in which the HUDA authorities had committed that no person will be taken on deputation while eligible engineers are available within HUDA. He alleged that recently, V.K. Gupta, SE, Manpal Singh, XEN from PWD Public Health Department and D.S. Dhanda, SDE and K.S. Suhag, SDE from PWD (B&R) Department, have been taken on deputation in HUDA by flouting all rules and regulations. Also, Sharma said a junior engineer already on deputation from PWD (B&R) Department has been adjusted to the post of SDE by uprooting the SDE at Hisar.

The Association, he said, has shown strong resentment to the malafide action of the HUDA authorities and demanded immediate repatriation of all superintending engineers, executive engineers and SDE's to their parent departments. The Association will chalk out its agitation programme and even resort to legal recourse if the above demand is not fulfilled immediately, he said.
