Seminar on ammunition and explosives
Pune:
The Ammunition Factory, Khadki, has organised a technical seminar in Hindi on `Ammunition and Explosives', on November 24-25, as part of the ongoing Rajbhasha Golden Jubilee Year celebrations in the factory.

Representatives from Ammunition and Explosive group of Ordnance Factories and other Defence Research/Inspection Organisations across the country will present papers on various aspects of Ammuniton and Explosives.

Defence exhibition
Pune:
An exhibition on `Defence and War' has been organised from November 19-21 by the Numismatic Society of Maharashtra, Pune, at the B E School Hall, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Sainik Kalyan Nidhi.

The event includes an exhibition of medals of honour like the Paramveer Chakra, coins, stamps, first day covers, coupons, and badges. Free gifts will be distributed to collectors of hobby items, and there are prizes for deserving hobyyists also.

Co-operative Week
Pune:
A `Sahakarita Daud' to be flagged off by K K Kashyap, Commissioner of Police, at 9 a.m. on November 18, has been organised by the Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Co-operative Management, as part of the 46th Co-operative Week celebrations from November 14-20.

Around 200 people are expected to participate in the run, which will begin from the College of Agricultural Banking and end at the Institute.

Boosting ryots' income
Satara:
Increasing the income of the farmers in the district by training them in modern agro techniques, guidance and financial assistance is the latest strategy adopted by the Satara District Central Co-op (DCC) Bank.

The bank will maintaine a separate high-tech department consisting of qualified personnels to help the farmers.

State drama fete
Kolhapur:
The State Cultural Affairs Directorate will organise the 39th Maharashra State Theatre Festival at the Keshavrao Bhosale Theatre here, from November 16 to 29.

Narke re-elected
Kolhapur:
Arun Narke has been re-elected opposed chairman of Kolhapur District Milk Cooperative Milk Producers Association (Gokul) for the tenth successive term.
