20 to vie for Miss Photogenic crown at mega model show

CHANDIGARH, Nov 25: As many as 20 models from the nortern region shortlisted today would vie for the subtitle "Miss Photogenic" as part of the Aristocrat Premium Mega Model `99 show on Saturday at the Chandigarh Club here. In all 237 candidates took part in the subtitles held here today. MTV in collaboration with the National Institute of Fashion Design, Chandigarh also organised a dance party at the Tagore Theatre for the subtitles "Miss Beautiful Hair" and "Miss Beautiful Smile." According to NIFD centre head Shalini Maini, the dance bash was a part of the MTV nationwide event"Freshers Take Off" which will be telecasted on MTV in December.

There were around 300 students and the participants of the contest who danced on the occasion.

The main show will feature five rounds after which three contenders would be chosen for the top spots. The judgement will be based on appearance, catwalk, confidence while facing the camera, elegance and poise, dialogue delivery for commercial ads. NIFD will design the clothes, the event will be hosted by Pallab Bose and choreographed by Priyanka Singh. The added attraction of the show will be a performance by "Jaduja," a Russian ballet troupe.
