Police Commissioner C Chandra Shekar personally inspected the security arrangements at the premises. The TADA detenus at the City Central jail were brought in KSRP buses. The accused on bail were screened with metal detectors before letting them inside the court premises.

District Sessions Judge Manjula Challur has been appointed special judge to hear the TADA detenus in Veerappan cases.
