CHANDIGARH, NOV 28: Renowned Punjabi poet and recipient of the Sahitya Academy Award Dr Jagtar participated in a "Face-to-Face" programme at the Shivalik Public School, Sector 41 on Saturday. Dr Jagtar spoke about his life and the sources of his poetic inspiration. He recited a selection of his poems and ghazals for those present.The event was organised by the Chandigarh Sahitya Academy. Academy chairman Maj Gen. Himmat Singh Gill welcomed the guest. Dr Manjit Singh was the convenor of the programme.
Kahani darbar organised
S.A.S. NAGAR:Punjabi Kahani Darbar organised by the Punjabi Sahit Sabha Kharar was held at Government Senior Secondary School in Phase III-B-1 here today. Sabha adviser Gurdev Singh said around five story-writers and about seven critics took part in the darbar. The darbar was organised in the memory of Principal Sujan Singh, Punjabi story-writer.
