Bedi's home remedy for crime

NOVEMBER 29: Good parentage, an extensive education and satisfactory health make up the right formula for a crime-free society,'' observed IPS officer, Dr Kiran Bedi, while she was delivering the 10th late Shri T V Chidambaran memorial lecture on `Crime Prevention', organised by the South Indian Education Society (SIES) in Mumbai on November 29. Dr Bedi also said that when greed determines needs, the criminal mind starts to function.Crime prevention is a complex of the roles of police, community, prison, judiciary, media and political leadership.
