Azhar vows to fight back
MUMBAI: Former skipper Mohd Azharuddin on Friday charged the cricket board with ``victimising'' him but vowed to fight hard to regain in place in the National team, after being ignored for the triangular one-day series to be held in Australia. North champs
CHENNAI: North Zone annexed the CK Nayudu Cricket Trophy (u-19) on Friday beating West Zone by six wickets.
West 203-6 in 50 overs (Prashant Joshi 67, Niraj Patel 56; Yuvraj Singh 2-39) lost to North 205-4 in 47.4 overs (Gautam Gambhir 43, Yuvraj Singh 68).

Double for Urska
CHANDIGARH: Slovenian wondergirl Urska Vesenjak won back-to-back titles when she beat Anotonia Matic of Croatia in the final of the $ 10,000 ITF Women's Tennis Circuit. Urska won 6-2 6-0 to follow on her Lucknow triumph. Urska then won the doubles title with twin sister Masa when they beat Indo-Yugoslavian pair ofManisha Malhotra and Katarina Daskovic 6-3 6-7 (2/7) 6-0.

W'lifting camp
MUMBAI: Thirty weightlifters are among the probables for the Asian Championships, at Osaka, Japan from May 1. The three-month camp will commence at NIS, Patiala, on January 17.
