Freed passengers will never go to Kathmandu again
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
LUDHIANA, JAN 2: The eight-day Delhi-Kathmandu nightmare will linger on in their memories and for some of the passengers it is so overpowering, that they've decided never to return to Kathmandu again.Anand Jain, Yamini and her younger brother Vikramjit, all residents of Ludhiana are unanimous in their decision. ``The security arrangements are too lax to risk another trip,'' they say.
On their ordeal, they say that they wanted to fight the hijackers. ``Many a time we wanted to overpower the hijackers. But for the presence of a large number of ladies, we could certainly have done it,'' the three said.
Narrating her experiences, Yamini, a computer engineer, said the hijackers were totally committed to their cause and were prepared to go to any length to get their demands conceded.
