Mock trading goes smoothly

MUMBAI, JAN 2: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Sunday said it conducted a second successful mock trading session unaffected by the millennium bug. "The capital market segment of the National Stock Exchange successfully completed the second mock trading session on January 2, 2000 between 0930 hours and 1130 hours," the exchange said in a statement.

It said about 1,600 users participated in mock trading. The exchange said post-mock trading activities were also progressing smoothly and no problems were encountered on account of Y2K.

"The market will open for live trading as usual on Monday at 1000 hours," the NSE said. ÿ
