India boycotts ICC clinic in Pak

KARACHI, JANUARY 17: India has boycotted a three-day International Cricket Council (ICC) coaching programme that began here on Monday.

Former Pakistani all-rounder Nasim-ul-Ghani, ICC Asian Development Officer, said that Indian representatives were invited to participate to train staff coaches for other Asian countries. ``But we didn't get any response which is very depressing and disappointing. The Indian cricket board was informed and invited to the clinic well in advance,'' he said.

Nominees from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan are taking part in the clinic. Pakistan is scheduled to host India for three Tests next year.
