2 killed, 15 injured in bomb attack
UNITED NEWS OF INDIA

AGARTALA, FEBRUARY 21: A teacher and a student, both tribals, were killed and 15 others injured, five of them seriously when the Bengali Liberation Front of Tripura (BLFT) militants threw bombs on a jeep at Bishram Ganj in West Tripura on Sunday. The injured have been admitted to hospital.

Police said that the BLFT rebels hurled powerful petrol bombs on a jeep near the Bishram Ganj weekly market killing Rati Raman Debbarma, a government school teacher, on the spot.

A class X student who was injured in the attack died in the hospital.

Security forces led by senior police officials have launched a combing operation to nab the ultras. There was no report of any arrest so far.

The BLFT, a new militant outfit, had organised seven attacks during the past few months in various parts of the state, killing many people, mostly tribals. Police had recently arrested some of the BLFT cadres from different parts of the state.
