Gholap's stolen revolver recovered
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

AURANGABAD, FEBRUARY 22: The foreign-made revolver of former State minister Babanrao Gholap, which was reported stolen from Aurangabad, has been recovered from two youths who were recently arrested by the crime branch sleuths for their suspected involvement in some thefts.

Police said Ravikumar G Nadiyar alias Abdul Bashir Shaikh alias Shashi Lalkrishna Mennava (43) and Maruti Raghunath Rajpure (35) were arrested by a team led by inspector Surendra Patil and sub inspector Shirish Gandhi.

The duo admitted that they had stolen a suitcase containing the revolver from Gholap's car at Aurangabad on February 14, police said.

According to police, Gholap had gone to Aurangabad to attend a programme at Vivekanand College when the duo opened the door of his car with a duplicate key and stole the suitcase.
