BSF intensifies vigil on LOC
UNITED NEWS OF INDIA

JAISALMER (RAJASTHAN) FEB 23: The Border Security Force (BSF) has beefed up security and intensified patrolling on the actual Line of Control (LoC) in view of the growing Pakistani military activities in the Sir Creek area in coastal Gujarat as well as in the Kutch region.

BSF Director General Bakhsheesh Singh (Rajasthan-Gujarat Front) said here on Wednesday that the situation at these regions is being reviewed periodically.

Pakistan, after amassing military might has also deployed anti-aircraft guns at Sir Creek region, he disclosed.

In view of this build-up security arrangements at the border have been strengthened all necessary measures were being taken to give a befitting reply to any misadventure from across the border, Singh asserted.

The BSF has already sent a proposal to the Union Home Ministry to make this force's water wing stronger, including setting up a floating border outpost, closer to the LOC in the Sir Creek region, Singh added.
