Trains derails due to removal of fish plates
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

VARANASI, MARCH 5: An engine and a bogey of the Patna-Kurla Express on Sunday derailed between Arrah and Kuhatia railway stations after fish plates on the track were removed by supporters of RJD-sponsored Bihar bandh.

However, there were no reports of any casualty or injury to any one, Railway sources here said. They said movement of train traffic between Mughalsarai and Patna railway stations was disrupted following the derailment, adding that routes of several trains were being changed due to the incident.

Magadh Express and Shramjivee Express would originate from Mughalsarai railway station instead of Patna, the sources said.

Besides, the North-East Express and Rajdhani Express will run via Chapra, Mau and Varanasi instead of via Patna and Mughalsarai, they said.

Several trains coming from Bihar were running several hours behind schedule and passengers were stranded at Mughalsarai, Varanasi and other stations, they added.
