Traffic diversions for Bill cavalcade

NEW DELHI, MARCH 16: Finally, the big one. On account of President Bill Clinton's visit, Delhi Police have made elaborate arrangements to divert traffic on the following areas on March 21 from 9 am to 5 pm.

The areas are: C hexagon and all traffic converging to Akbar Road, Rajpath, Raisina Road, Ashoka Road, Mann Singh Road, Janpath, Rafi Marg, Mathura Road, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Ring Road (from Nizamuddin Bridge to Chandgi Ram Akhara). Traffic may be completely stopped betwenn Rajpath and Copernicus Marg for some time.

People coming from north Delhi towards Connaught Place (CP) should take the Sikandara Road, Mandi House, and Barakhamba Road, while those who are coming from the south are advised to take the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital round about via Wellingdon Crescent, Baba Kharak Singh Marg to reach CP.

People using the C hexagon from Purana Qila Road, Zakir Hussain Road, Pandara Road, and Shahjahan Road are advised to take the following roads: Moti Lal Nehru Place, Janpath, and Windsor Place to reach CP.

Visitors to RML hospital from north Delhi are to go via ISBT Azad Market, Filmistan, Rani Jhansi Road, Jhandewalan, Mandir Marg, Park Street while those coming from south are to follow Aurobindo Chowk, Teen Murti, and Wellingdon Crescent. Visitors to Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital should use Subhash Marg, from the west side of the Delhi Gate.

Passengers to New Delhi Railway Station are to use the Paharganj side via Chelmsford Road.
