Naidu will be ready for Clinton with his laptop at Hi-Tech City HYDERABAD, MAR 17: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will share the dais with US President Bill Clinton when he addresses a joint meeting of leading industrialists and Information Technology professionals of the country at the Hi-Tec city during his visit to the city on March 24. The chief minister is expected to utilise the opportunity to make an audio-visual presentation on the development of IT and bio-technology industries in the state. Clinton will also inaugurate an exhibition to be put up by the government showcasing the rapid strides the state has made on different fronts in the recent years. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) too will make a presentation giving an overview of the industrial development in the country at the meeting. The US President's programme in Hi-Tec city will be preceded by a visit to Mahaveer Hospital where he would administer polio drops to a couple of children and interact with some patients suffering from tuberculosis, to mark the World TB Day. With the D-day for Clinton's visit fast approaching, officials are speeding up the arrangements to ensure that the trip becomes a success. Efforts are on to accommodate about 1,200 to 1,500 people on the ground floor of Cyber Towers (Hi-tec city) including ministers, politicians and leading personalities from different walks of life. The US advance team headed by Consul General Bernard Alter and Nicholas Friendly today called on Naidu after detailed discussions with Chief Secretary V Ananda Rau. The meeting discussed even minute details like presentation of bouquets and mementoes and the persons with whom the US President would exchange pleasantries.
