Protest rallies to meet Clinton's visit
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

CHENNAI, MARCH 17: The Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) is organising protest rallies and demonstrations against US President, Bill Clinton's visit to India. The rallies will be held in Delhi and other State capitals on March 21. On March 24, a nine-party led protest will be held in Hyderabad.

Talking to mediapersons, member of SUCI Central Committee, Krishna Chakravarty, said slogans like `killer Clinton go back' will greet Clinton on his arrival in India. Most of the left and democratic parties were against foreign imperialism, especially that of America. He said the motive behind Clinton's visit was to rope in India into its designs of global monopolistic dominance.

The BJP-led government was welcoming this chieftain of imperialism because it needed US support to further its interest of penetrating the world market and emerging as an undisputed superpower in the region.

He pointed out that Clinton had launched missile attacks on countries like Afghanistan, Sudan and Libya on the pretext of annihilating terrorist activities. The US President would interfere in the Kashmir issue as well.
